In zone 8a, the last spring frost usually comes around Mar 25 and the first fall frost around Nov 10. Here is when to plant lemons.
Note: winters in zone 8a are usually too cold for lemons to survive outdoors. Grow it in a large pot and move it into a garage or indoors for winter.

- Apr 8: Plant lemons in the bed (first harvest next year)
Outdoors year-round only in zone 9 and warmer. Elsewhere, keep it in a pot and bring it in for winter.
